My role at Quanta has developed in order to better accommodate my growing interest in creative marketing. This role now involves the management of Quanta's social media presence, email communication and customer support.I coordinate with teams from Japan and Hong Kong in order to manage the content of multiple company websites, and also work closely with local companies to generate marketing and press content.The customer support aspect of my role involves advanced use of Zendesk and its various systems including automation, tagging and macros in order to save time for our operations team.Working in this role has allowed me to showcase my creativity in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment where my decisions make a large impact on the direction of the company, especially since Quanta is a startup company. I was at the forefront of 3FM's expansion into online video and live event coverage; carrying out both camera operation and video editing for social media and occasionally promotional videos for 3FM-sponsored companies. This was a temporary, contract-based job and I have since worked with 3FM again on a freelance basis for the live coverage of the Isle of Man Awards for Excellence in November 2017. I was responsible for digitising our archive of Betacam and HDCAM tapes of old broadcasted programmes and ensuring their faithful preservation. I then uploaded the files to our NAS while tracking the metadata of each tape. This included backing up the files onto an LTO system. This work has allowed me to gain extensive experience in archive digitisation, using non-linear editing software, and has improved my knowledge of the production process. I worked with a small team of people from Smarthouse Films who were filming a music video on the Isle of Man for Dutch star Marco Borsato. I assisted in the art direction for the film and also served as a 'local fixer', providing locations and services that the film crew could use. Through this work, I also gained knowledge about Steadicam and drone operation, as well as working to deadlines and overcoming various occupational problems (including a drone blowing away in the wind!) The music video now has over 12,000,000 views on YouTube. Show less
