Peter Akey
AC is where people and computers meet. His intelligence and thoughtfulness leads the way in everything he does. I had the pleasure of reporting to him in a high-stress environment but somehow he managed to absorb all of the chaos before it was able to trickle down to the team members themselves. The team was allowed to conduct their business in a stable and focused manner while the insanity of handling a multitude of requests from several parties were handled upstream by AC himself. He cares for every member of his team, deeply. That's where the people-side of the equation comes into play. As for the computer-side, he demonstrated a good understanding and application of several tools that we used, or didn't use but felt worth investigating. I was introduced to many technologies that I either didn't know existed or hadn't had time to explore. I'm still impressed at his breadth of knowledge across the realm of IT, especially when it comes to software development.
