KAMLOOPS, BC – The Executive Director of the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, Acacia Pangilinan, has been asked to serve on the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Council for Women’s Advocacy. The Council for Women’s Advocacy is responsible for driving meaningful action to address the barriers facing women in the workforce while ensuring the perspectives of women are integrated into the national public policy development. “I am honored to be selected by my peers to advocate on behalf of women in Western Canada,” says Pangilinan, “Serving to empower women has been an important part of my journey and I am excited about what this opportunity brings. I want to use this opportunity to set up a local advisory committee who will share their stories, issues and the barriers that they have faced because of their gender, so that together, we can create a robust dialogue and drive meaningful change”
