I had the rare opportunity to work under Alfred Shikany in pursuit of the prestigious Eastern Sprints Rowing Championship. As a coach, Alfred was a person of intense focus and relentless tenacity whose strategic abilities were second-to-none. Over the course of a year, Alfred led a mixed-group of walk-on and recruited athletes from the bottom of the league to a silver medal winning performance at the Eastern Sprints (a first for Georgetown University). On a more personal level, Alfred has the unique ability to gain the life-long respect of those who meet him in a relatively short period of time. Most importantly, Alfred knows how to preform at the highest level while having fun too!

Assistant to Men's Lightweight Head Coach, Evans Liolin. Responsibilities included recruiting the class of 2012 and coaching the Men's Lightweight Freshman Class of 2011. I was proud to coach the freshman class to a silver medal finish at Eastern Sprints, making them the only Georgetown men's freshman crew to ever medal at the regatta.
