      I was given the whole authority to manage the shifts of Labour and Masons.... I managed their attendance and wage process and procedure. I was also given the authority to purchase raw material on behalf of the organization in certain immediate circumstances. This whole experience of managing the blue collared labour was a unique and very knowledgeable experience for me, this helped me to have an insight view of the demands of a lay man and how a firm can motivate them to get maximum outputs. to my surprise, monetary reward for labourers were of secondary importance, recognition and respect to your labour can get you extra benefits and production rather than by mere monetary rewards. Assisted in monitoring correspondence/documentation and filing of general operations. Supporting performance appraisal system and forwarding objections on the appraisals of respective incumbents to the HR manager. Helped in arranging training & development programmes/events for employees like training workshops for technical and administrative staff. Leisure and entertainment activities were also arranged.
