  In this position I am responsible for curriculum planning, hiring and evaluating adjunct faculty, managing the departmental budget, and recruiting students. I have the responsibility of instructingFreshmen through Senior level students in Art Appreciation and Art History along with the instruction of a number of other traditional studio and foundation courses. I teach Graphic Arts and Introduction to Computer Graphics in which I deliver instruction on digital photography, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe PDF creation software as a must-learn component for each course as an invaluable asset in an effort to foster cross discipline success for majors and non-majors. I am also charged with executing further and future collaborations with curricular programing and extracurricular activities within the division of fine arts and its departments of communication, music, and other campus activities. I am versed in the use of Blackboard and the Jenzabar LMS systems for registration along with course delivery and student assessment. I am directly involved in the President’s initiative for the conservation of the historic “La Amistad” murals by the Atlanta Art Conservation Center providing the committee with advice, event documentation on and off site student/faculty observation.

  As an adjunct professor at Troy University, under the direction of Dr. H.   In the fall of 1978 my higher education teaching career began at Albany State College (now Albany State University) Department of Art until June of 1983. In August of 1978 I gave up my position with the Civil aeronautics Board that I might have the opportunity to give students first hand knowledge skill development in the area of Visual Art as it relates to Federal Agency and Commercial Business and Fine and Commercial Art requirements:Key Roles and Responsibilities:*Developed and implemented a screen printing component for the Graphics courses *Assisted the then Chairman of the Department with the institution and execution of the Visiting _Artist program*Advised and assisted students in the institution of an student-lead Art Club *Worked co-operatively with Transcolor, Inc. a local textile screen printer in order to maintain _state-of the-art skills and knowledge that would be direct for the students*Aided and advised the students in their setting up an on-campus textile printing service*Departmental web-site strategy development*Developed and implemented a 3D Computer Drawing component for the Graphics and Design _courses*Spearheaded a turn-key student field trips in and out of state and to our nation’s capital.
