      GlobeMed HU is an organization that aims to strengthen the movement for global health equity by empowering students and communities to work together to improve the health of people living in poverty. With over 2,000 students and 58 different chapters around the US, Each of the chapters pair with a grassroots organization in a poverty-stricken location. Through these partnerships, chapters strengthen long-term relationships, host on-campus and off-campus fundraising events, organize informational programs, and provide an internship opportunity for its members to participate in a service project for the partnering organization. As Communications Chair, my job includes: ∙Maintaining direct communication with campaigns and ghU teams for marketing strategies. ∙Promoting activities by designing brochures, digital flyers, pamphlets, and posters.∙Maintaining social media sites such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. (Increased following count on all social media by 60%)∙Informing campus with any programs or activities that will take place.∙Recruiting new members and disseminating information about the organization and its mission.       The Young Scholars' Institute is an educational institution that provides students from local and surrounding communities the tools they need to excel academically. Throughout the year, YSI holds several events such as college-prep workshops and college tours which provides students with the guidance they need for the college application process.Their programs also include tutoring in all subjects for grades k-12. Students from local colleges come out to volunteer and teach in their field of study. The Young Scholars' Institute provides assistance to students for their current classes and administers advance-prep tutoring for courses students will soon be entering.As a tutor, my my job entails: ∙Providing tutoring lessons for students from K-12 in English and Math.∙Enhancing critical reading skills and provided necessary materials for students to become better writers. ∙Providing assistance to High School students by reviewing their common app.∙Mentoring and advising students as they matriculate into college.

      Cramton Auditorium is Howard University's largest performing space. From debates, to Charter day, to concerts, Cramton is the location for some of the most important events on campus.       1867 Undergraduate Assistantship Program is an organization that works with the major events that occur on the campus of Howard University. The organization handles most of the University's Alumni relations and ensures thats everything runs efficiently. 1867's Athletic component helps promote athletic participation and school pride through its' esteemed club basketball team. Members of the program help run practices and support the teams for both home and away games. The program also provides networking opportunities for students through various student activities and volunteering events.
