Part of the dev team working with an in-house application that the business require in order to efficiently carry out their day-to-day activities. Using Agile methodologies including sprints, user stories, retrospectives and daily stand-ups. I have been learning and developing my automaton skills through use of C#, Selenium and Specflow within Visual Studio. Constantly updating the automation framework with new development or changes to existing features. Progressively building a full automated regression pack as well as carrying out manual testing where required for both regression and sprint work.I create manual test scripts within VSTS Test Plans against the acceptance criteria from each user story and follow through to test execution. I used Microsoft SQL Server to data-mine whenever I require specific data for a test or if I am verifying the database updates successfully following a particular action. Show less

I create manual test scripts within Microsoft Test Manager against the acceptance criteria from each user story and follow through to test execution. I used Microsoft SQL Server to data-mine whenever I require specific data for a test or if I am verifying the database updates successfully following a particular action. I have managed live releases and maintained strong and trustworthy working relationships with key stakeholders in the business. Show less

Test Analyst
-
Jan 2014 - Dec 2015
Single-Multi Branded Platform (SMBP):SMBP is a large migration project currently on-going at YBS. Was a manual test analyst working on multiple systems used on a regular basis; it is essential these work when the Yorkshire Building Society, Chelsea BS, Barnsley BS and Accord Mortgages databases merge into one. The system knowledge I had built up throughout my time at Yorkshire Building Society has been invaluable in terms of understanding changes made to system, requirements analysis, test scripting and test execution. I have also built up a good understanding of SQL which is gradually improving through regular use. The areas I have been involved in testing include e-commerce, mortgage lending, savings and investments, home insurance, letters, workevents, batch jobs, finance, financial crime, marketing campaigns. I have helped develop and test in-flight scenarios; this involves starting a business process before the data migration then continuing the process after migration to ensure an end to end process can be successfully completed).Whilst carrying test execution for the migration, I have also been given additional responsibilities. These include assigning scripts to other test analysts and assisting with any queries with the test or defects which may need investigating. On a daily basis, I reviewed the new defects which had been raised to understand the impact to testing; this provided guidance to developers in terms of which defects needed reviewing first. As part of the test preparation and test execution phases, I have undertaken business engagement to ensure the business know when they are required during SIT. Show less
