This was my second clinical internship. I spent eight weeks in the intensive care unit working with patients of various neurological and cardiopulmonary dysfunctions. I was able to scrub in on a patient's open heart surgery, and proceeded to follow that patient throughout the course of their treatment at the hospital. I spent days shadowing OT, respiratory therapists, and spent a day in joint class. This was my second clinical internship. This was my first clinical internship where I spent six weeks in the outpatient department of Weinberg Campus. I spent my last two weeks in the subacute physical therapy department as well. I evaluated and treated patients with various orthopedic and neuromuscular dysfunctions. I performed land based as well as aquatic based physical therapy interventions. The caseload consisted of mostly geriatric patients. This was my first clinical internship where I spent six weeks in the outpatient department of Weinberg Campus.
