      I was part of the two year Hiscox graduate programme. My main role was underwriting Professional Indemnity insurance for the Hiscox internal MGA with a particular focus on construction and financial lines business.I undertook three secondments while on the programme which gave me a wider perspective of an insurance company outside of retail business: 1. Catastrophe Modelling for Hiscox Reinsurance division - developing a model to determine the impact of wind storm on nuclear power plants. 2. Cyber Claims project manager - working in the US for three months I ran a project to determine how best to handle cyber claims as Hiscox USA looked to expand their product offering to a wider customer base.3.
