Dr. Huntley's lab is working on Harmful algae blooms. We have 5 bacteria that use the toxin in the harmful algae blooms as food. They are also non-toxic to aquatic life and humans. We would like to use these bacteria to breakdown the toxin in the city's drinking water, ultimately. Dr. Huntley's lab is working on Harmful algae blooms. Will have two first author papers from this lab in the next 6 months. One is ready to submit now. I was given some independence when just handed a specific aim of a grant that might turn into a paper. I organized, planned, and executed 21d drug studies and 14d (inject cells q4 days) adoptive transfer of bone marrow derived macrophages. Did all cell culture, survival surgeries, IV injections of BMDM's, and dissection and processing of tissue and serum. Will have two first author papers from this lab in the next 6 months.
