Administrative ownership for the Pupil and Parent Portals (including the associated Apps). This includes technical support; responding to parent/pupil enquiries regarding password changes, logging in issues, etc. and covers both publishing/reviewing content on the Portal ensuring it meets branding guidelines and GDPR regulations. Highlight and resolve discrepancies by liaising with the relevant data owners. Providing expert advice and populating the internal Knowledge Base with helpful and relevant content, optimising search terms and tags, allowing staff to find relevant articles. Knowledge and expertise in a variety of areas including: MIS support, Microsoft Office 365, Apple/Mac, Proof-reading, Workflows and Processes. Editing, maintaining and developing the internal Sharepoint site used by staff to ensure it is accurate and engaging for staff to use. Keep the online document areas up to date to ensure information remains accurate and is removed when it expires. Responsibility for developing and rolling out e-training to staff each academic year, based on content defined by key specialists. This includes creating a range of modules to suit staff needs, including condensed modules and group training sessions for zero hours staff and those without access to a computer/limited computer skills. Alongside my administrator role, I was also tasked with a new initiative, supporting as co-ordinator for ‘Cross College Tutorial’ events for Academic Year 15/16. This was a welcome challenge as I had no previous professional experience and it was a fantastic opportunity to organise a large scale event. This involved booking external guest speakers and companies for lectures/activities, financial planning and managing large budgets, preparing timetables and schedules appropriate for a range of learners and subject areas, including those with SEND.
