Job description: *Run the HR department *Provide day to day HR administration support. *Responsible for the administration and maintenance of human resources activities and programs, including staffing, compensation, payroll and leave. * Point of contact for all managers. *Staffing duties includes recruitment as necessary to fill vacancies, and looking over resumes or applications that are received to ensure that the basic qualifications and experiences are met before passing them on to the hiring manager. Serve as the HR representative in interviews *Answer employee questions about human resources matters such as payroll, hiring procedures, leave and absenteeism and company policy; referrals are made to relevant managers and HR/IR consultant when necessary. Processing of monthly and fortnightly payroll(s) for 9 companies. *Collate payroll information, process, produce monthly reports and provide monthly union, cell phone contracts and garnishee schedules to finance department. *Preparation of payroll related reports for managers and dealing with any payroll queries that may occur. *Termination and redundancy calculations as required. *End of year processing including bonuses and annual increases. *Induction process – contracts, forms, IDs, EEA1 forms, job descriptions etc. and exit processes – exit interview, UI19 form and certificate of service (when needed). *Preparation of employee contracts and letters of employment. *Provide advice/ counselling regarding employee and industrial relations issues when needed or refer to HOD. *Disciplinary administration – draft notices for disciplinary and appeals hearings, suspension letters, dismissal letters, CON/ARB objection letters, warnings, and collating evidence for hearings. *Management of four HR assistants and ensure that their daily duties are completed.
