In my current role I oversee the Decoration (hard accessories), Bathshop and Outdoor accessories departments. During my time at habitat I have also had an active role within the Tabletop department. I have experience working with large to small factories and suppliers across the world working to a variety of specifications, and am experienced with product development from design conception, as well as off the shelf selection. * Confident in sales and product analysis, and working with internal teams to manage stock levels. * Key focus of my role is the online side of the business, working to deliver an excellent online journey.* Working within the constraints of MOQ and company margin targets.* Working closely with marketing and PR departments to deliver some bestselling designer collaborations.

For this European brand with 48 stores I bought the books, stationery, cards and Lifestyle (previously known as Novelty) categories. Ensuring to be very reactive to sales, think on my feet and not only buy, but also trade my departments to ensure they are as profitable as possible. Within my time at Urban I bought over 8 new ranges for 4 separate departments covering 3 quarters of the year. Supporting the buying team with all administrative duties for jewellery concessions for BHS which fall within the DCK remit. This included: • Liaising daily with overseas suppliers • Maintaining constant engagement with external stakeholders such as agencies, designers and suppliers • Working with designers and senior buyers to develop new designs to introduce in each new season • Pulling together boards and visual representations of the current and future seasons’ buys • Analysing commercial reports and then feeding key highlights back to all relevant buying and merchandising teams • Tracking each piece of jewellery throughout the supply and manufacturing chain ensuring tight timescales, deadlines, and financial requirements are met. Presenting creative ideas for regular review by senior management and undertaking roles over and above current responsibilities also formed a major element of my employment at DCK.
