I worked at Pex as a Machine learning Engineer, and then eventually as a Senior Machine learning engineer for approximately 5 years. In my time there I worked on multiple projects. Some of them are listed below: Melody matcher: I worked on building a first of its kind melody matcher, which matches a query song to a song in the database, based on the underlying melody alone. This is now offered as a feature of Pex’s products, and is a key differentiator between Pex and its competitors. Recaptcha solver: I was part of the team that worked on solving Google's ReCaptcha, and productionizing the solution. This involved using multiple computer vision techniques like object detectors and segmentation models, and deploying the models using Docker and Kubernetes. Genre classifier: I also worked on a genre classifier algorithm for music, that made use of the approximate nearest neighbor database FAISS Image matching: I was involved in a part of an image matching project. In this, I made use of deep learning models, as well as image processing techniques In my final days at Pex, I was involved with a project trying to improve the melody matcher for music stems. I was also part of the team involved in trying to create an idealized database for music metadata. A good portion of my time at Pex was also spent mentoring Masters' students for their capstone project Show less
