      A one month internship was undertaken at DRDO Metcalf House, New Delhi under Mr. Sutantra Jain (Sc.F). The task was to design a "Suitable vibration isolator for TATA Signa truck meeting MIL-125 Standards". Using previous knowledge of mechanical engineering and theory of vibrations, engineering calculations were made on the magnitude of vibration that would be experienced by the truck under various operating conditions and the required damping which is to be done. Once all calculations were preformed, the current market database was searched to select the vibration isolator with parameters which best matched to those which were calculated. Show less
