'Transforming Urban Governance' is one-of-its kind research and advocacy initiative in India. It is concentrated on studying the quality of of urban governance especially the city governance structure and decentralisation of powers. Based on the findings, we work with City leadership team as well as citizen groups on potential improvements.In my new role, I will lead and Praja's internal and external communication strategy for this programme. 'Transforming Urban Governance' is one-of-its kind research and advocacy initiative in India. Later joining forces with ADMT, I am currently piloting photo documentation and oral history collection processes of Pune in the Deco Era. I was part of a small team working on TISS Chaitanya SHG Study Project. It was commissioned by Tata Institute of Social Sciences with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In the one-year's span, we extensively travelled in rural Maharashtra to understand how women self-help groups have transformed households. I was responsible to document views expressed by male members of the household particularly husbands and teen-aged boys on the changes they experienced on the socio-economic front. In the purview of the Covid-19 pandemic, we also analysed how it has hit communities economically and educationally.

I was part of the global network of Photojournalists designated to document Bloomberg Foundation's Mayor's Challenge 2021. I was a photojournalist-designate for Pune city which was among the top 50 finalists. The role followed the documentation of the city's transformative EV Readiness Plan. Pune is the first Indian city to undertake this initiative. For my work, I was twice featured on the official publication by Bloomberg Cities I was part of the global network of Photojournalists designated to document Bloomberg Foundation's Mayor's Challenge 2021. I was responsible for monitoring the feed of incoming content that was submitted through a tipline set up by WhatsApp. I was also involved with filtering content and classifying it. I simultaneously monitored social media and the news media to check if there was a correlation between information received through the tipline and a news event.
