Project on Suspension Tuning of an Automobile using Data Acquisition to achieve the best stabilization time for the vehicle within the ride comfort defined as per ISO standards. Project takes off by designing a suspension system from single degree of freedom system to 7 degree of freedom system with real time mathematical models in Simulink and optimizing the suspension by applying 3 dimensional polynomial regression over 50,000 data points through Python and MATLAB after refining and preprocessing the data. Project was to develop a aerial platform for indoor applications such as surveillance, air quality monitoring, crack detection or object identification. Mathematical model was developed and thrust calculations were performed to find out the best combination of motors and propellers, which were powered from Electronic Speed Controllers (ESC's). Using data flash and telemetry log analysis we have configured the PID parameters of the flight controller which resulted in agile maneuverability. These configurations were tuned in the ground control station software like Mission Planner, Betaflight which are compatible with Ardupilot, PX4, Betaflight firmware that is used in the flight controller board. Suitable communication protocols with Tx-Rx, Rx-FC, FC-ESC, and ESC-Motor pairs were established with required baud rate for every configuration. Ultimately, size of the drone was brought down from 853 grams to 92 grams, without compromising on thrust to weight ratio, making it perfectly suitable for indoor applications. Show less
