• Working as a Software Engineer for SOPHiA Genetics, building data models and designing infrastructure to answer questions ranging from genomics, scientific, cloud pipelines and product usage related data. • Leading the data collection of Turn-Around Time (TAT) of genomic pipelines in a Databricks workspace, utilizing Machine Learning with MLFlow to implement Anomaly detection with the Isolation Forest algorithm, reporting directly to the executive team and product support. • Directing the quarterly update of the Community Frequencies on DDM, using a Databricks workspace to crunch genomic data and leading the deployment of the data in our client-facing databases. • Owner of the Starburst Enterprise Platform at SOPHiA, managing the deployment via Terraform, the regionalized cluster on Azure Managed Kubernetes (AKS), and maintenance for internal data engineers and scientists. • Optimized the internal query system by rewriting it to use multithreaded execution and process batching, resulting in a remarkable 3-4 times decrease in execution time, saving hours. • Building the Data Hub platform with Databricks, a delta lake-based platform to conduct genomics research on SOPHiA’s millions of analyses.
