Ashim Kumar Nandi

I proudly acknowledge that Mr. Abdullah Al Zubayer was one of my best research monograph students at University of Barishal, Bangladesh during the session: 2016-17. I have become well familiarized with Mr. Zubayer’s work during the past couple of years by the way of different assignments as his course teacher in Sociology department at University of Barishal. I taught him a number of courses. He, is highly motivated, learns quickly, works hard, enthusiastically takes initiative in creative papers. Through organizing different events such as conference, study tours and other cultural events as a volunteer at University of Barishal, he showed his good skills in leadership. At a personal level, Mr. Zubayer is a polite and industrius student with a good personality. I wish him every success in life.

GRRIPP brings together partners from Latin America and Caribbean (LAC), Southern Africa, South Asia and the UK to transform thinking around gender in disaster and conflict contexts. This requires organisations to engage with indigenous and decolonial perspectives on gender and discrimination in crisis contexts. It also requires a grounded evidence base built on experience from researchers, practitioners and activists at the grass roots level. Gender Responsive Resilience and Intersectionality in Policy and Practice (GRRIPP) is a 4-year global collaboration and knowledge-exchange project of University College London (UCL), United Kingdom. In the South Asia Region, Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies (IDMVS), University of Dhaka is leading this project.
