On Job Training (OJT) is a requirement for the completion of a Higher Diploma degree. In part 1, we shadow walked the instructor learning about the components and operation of the Auxilliary systems, the turbine generator system, the steam supply system, the condenser, and the water circulation system. In addition to power safety systems. In part 2, we visited the office building and each week we were introduced to an engineering team to learn about their work and tasks. We had a great chance to observe the engineering team during an overhaul period giving us an opportunity to learn more about preemptive Maintenace of a nuclear plant. In part 3, we shadow walked instructors during logging time within primary plant systems and learned to conduct operation tasks related to primary systems support systems like the chemical volumetric control system.
