    • U17’s Lead Coach
      • Aug 2020 - Jul 2022

With Kinja, I supported in coaching the U16 boys team, alongside two other coaches. A great deal of learning comes from this environment for the players and for the coaches. I am learning in being able to work with fellow coaches and being able to deal with a difference in opinion, and the coaches allowed for a democratic way of making decisions. I have also gained a massive insight into the effect that organisation and structure have on a team, and I will also try to implement this level of organisation within other teams that I lead and manage. I also lead in the young ages of 5-8 where the main focus is on the players' engagement and enjoyment whilst implementing and working on technical components within the sessions. In the 2021/2022 season, I am now leading the U17’s Boys team and I aiming to build a group of players who are tactically and psychologically skilled during match days, by exposing them to different formations, systems and tactics as well as getting to a point where they have ownership over what strategy to change in-game, if it’s worth changing at all. This is all as part of Kinja FC pathway who intend to develop players to promote them up into senior football when they are ready!

Within this role, I look to try and point everyone within the team into one direction and allow everyone to feel valuable. This is a different challenge as I am working with adults and university students who are of the same or even older age than me. However I try and use my youth to my advantage, so that I am able to relate to them much more. • U17 Girls Lead Football Coach

Coaching at an environment where I have been told that development is key but winning needs to be considered as a crucial output, is something that challenges my regular approach. I need to be able to implement a mentality of winning within the players, to prepare for them for the first-team environment. It’s also a new environment when coaching girls, however, being authentic and respectful while keeping the focus at hand is something that’s crucial wherever I coach and will allow me to adapt accordingly

As the understudy of two exceptional managers, who both have a shed load of experience and both respectively have UEFA Pro and UEFA A licenses; the learning environment is that of the highest quality, and so it’s a great environment to learn and to ask questions that I wouldn’t normally get anywhere else. Spending good coaching time with these coaches and players allows me to see things from different peoples lens’ and perspectives. Along with the U16’s role, I wanted to work to with younger players and try my hand at different age groups within the grassroots level. It’s an interesting age group, with variants in player positions and ability but a challenge that proves to improve my adaptability, confidence, knowledge and organisation. the age group I coached is a test in their behaviours, because of the different maturation levels and being able to improve everyone within a session that involves different characters. Alongside my U11’s role, I also coach U16’s in order for me to gain experience in the 11-a-side game and gain a further understanding of how the game works within the older age groups. I’m currently aiming to work 11-a-side until I’m comfortable enough to apply and hopefully get accepted for the UEFA B License. • U9-U11 Support Football Coach
      • Nov 2017 - Oct 2019

At Pinner Albion, I was the assistant coach of the U9-U11’s for almost 2 years. These two years have not only broken the ice for me in terms of coaching but it has helped me build my confidence and become a responsible individual with a duty to improve and help the younger players. I developed a better understanding of how to approach different situations and has improved my self-awareness massively. I have learnt different skills essential for coaching such as communication, planning, punctuality and delivering sessions
