      'Blackbirds' - an intergenerational production from London Bubble, uses personal testimony, physical theatre, the combined skills of a large cast of contemporary Londoners, a few sugar lumps and 87 pieces of furniture, to evoke the stories and spirit of the Blitz. Mitchell’s plays include Another Country (a West End hit, Best Play in 1981, later made into a film), Falling Over England and After Aida. He was also a regular writer for the much loved Inspector Morse series and has written the screenplays for numerous films including Wilde and Vincent & Theo. Based on interviews with the people who lived the history, The Front Room looks at how stories of generations can be erased and rewritten. Noticing the lack of social interaction between younger and older LGB people, Outbox created The Front Room to tell the story of these older people, many of whom were activists and pioneers.
