  Harbour sport is a growing community raising the benefits of a healthy lifestyle by leading and coordinating physically active and healthy lifestyle programmes. Looking into the target groups I am working within the community sports sector looking into women and sport and disability within sport and how to make it all more accessible. Events management is also a large part of my role organising a para Olympic event within primary schools and an international sports day for the international students in and around Auckland. Also for the end of year awards networking with universities and inspirational sports personnel to find people who are willing to share their stories and motivate others. Show less

  I am taking 7-13 year olds for athletics training which entails hurdles, sprints, javelin, shot put and endurance.   I am working with 8-16 year old on different activities over the 5 weeks. Taking them from their team leaders and walking around site to different activities including Archery, orienteering, sensory trail, buggy build and beach walk. Beach walk involved taking the kids offsite and retrieving a phone and being in time for the next sessions. Sessions meant being a leader and being able to demonstrate control. Keeping the kids entertained. After the sessions I also took part in phone runs which meant I had to go find the group and get the kids that were having calls home to reception. I also did arrival and departure days which entailed walking the kids to and from the check in desks to the correct group leaders. I communicated with parents and team leaders about site specific information. Show less
