Working as part of a small team across multiple womenswear product areas to create high quality forever pieces in collaboration with up and coming British based designers • Leading the design of denim and jersey for Label Collection (in house range), managing the process from initial trend research through to fits, sourcing trims and fabrics • Working on a number of collaborative collections a season- working with designers to translate their brand DNA • Sourcing Sustainable and Ethical fabrics and yarns with factories and production team to create responsible products • Creating detailed full design packs and specifications- thorough understanding of garment construction and fabric finishes working with garment technologists and pattern cutters. • Embellishment, embroidery and print artwork- working with collaborators and factories on different techniques, creating commercial versions of hand crafted embellishments and RTW prints and textiles • Fabric and trim sourcing and development- attending fabric fairs, working with mills and Designers to create bespoke fabrics • Print design- working from print briefs for a number of collaborators to create new prints or re-work archive prints • Attending technical fit meetings- working with collaborators and garment technologists to translate designs into high end and beautifully refined commercial pieces from prototypes through to gold seals • Assisting Knitwear designer- developing an understanding of knitwear, stitches, gauges and yarns • Highly motivated and self directed part of a small team, happy to help in all areas
