I used Photoshop every day and worked closely with a small team to prepare digital scan files for wallpaper printing. I even had the opportunity to design my own wallpaper suite, titled Emperor's Blossoms. I also worked closely with the project manager to complete marketing deliverables including brochures, insert cards, stickers, digital roomsets, and web banners. Managing a locally owned business for almost a decade has given me a variety of experience. During the pandemic I realized my favorite part of my job was creating graphic material for the shop and that I always wanted to spend more time on that work. It was the right time to make a change, so I enrolled in a graphic design program online with SCAD. I completed my certificate and finished my management position in February 2022; I am actively looking for a graphic design internship or entry position to gain design experience, hone my skills, and deepen my understanding of principles and aesthetics. My favorite part of working at Rosetta Stone was a 6-month project managing a newsletter for hyper-engaged customers. The SVP of customer success wanted to give back to those learners with a value-added community, as well as leverage their experience and learn what made them so successful with Rosetta Stone's language learning software. My teammate and I created content and layout and then had our work approved by in-house copywriters and designers.
