For some reason (for which I’m very grateful), Abbie took an active interest in my career and development when we worked together – even though she wasn’t my manager. Abbie coached me through periods of significant organisational and leadership change and helped me achieve a few notable career goals over three years at Vodafone. I was new to the corporate world when I joined Vodafone and Abbie had a subtle way of giving me perspective when I felt frustrated, encouragement when I felt defeated and leadership during periods of uncertainty. She’s still that person for me today. Abbie leads and operates with a high level of emotional intelligence and for this reason (and the fact she’s barrels of fun as a colleague) I’d welcome the chance to work alongside Abbie again!
