  I reported and wrote 46 articles over ten full-time weeks for The News-Review, which has a print circulation of around 15,000. As a Snowden intern, my position emphasized ethics training and I pitched stories about politics, homelessness and COVID-19. Reporting on the pandemic was a challenge, and I really appreciate the support I got from the newsroom. As a writer, I pitched a feature story, "Coming Home," about a Coquille tribal elder's lifetime rediscovering her people's lost art techniques. I led a multimedia team, researched and conducted interviews to write this story. As a Co-copy editor, I oversaw grammar and AP Style for the entire publication and provided structural feedback on every story.
