I am part of the research team at Karkinos’ Advanced Centre for Cancer Diagnostics and Research, Mumbai that is working to provide personalised cancer treatment. My role involved CTC enumeration, culturing cancer cells, testing sensitivities of chemotherapeutic drugs on patient samples and providing workflows to ensure the most effective treatment path. I started ImmuneET as an independent blog to encourage a comprehensive understanding of topics in Immunology, catering the content to all age groups. The platform would also aim to include interviews from students, researchers in the field of Immunology and patients suffering from health conditions. This would further facilitate discussions on the blog and would also have translations in some local languages thus allowing wider reach of the blog content. My work provided insights into metal contaminants in the soils of the selected regions and helped evaluate the land’s suitability for spices cultivation in the future.
