      • Taught math and science to Lawrence middle school students by having each student wear a pedometer and do physical activities for thirty minutes. Then they took the data off of their pedometer and used it to answer educational questions on a tablet. This was a great way to combine learning and exercise for these students who don't normally get to have that experience. • Taught math and science to Lawrence middle school students by having each student wear a pedometer and do physical activities for thirty minutes. • Sep 2014 - Nov 2014

      • Worked with 7th and 8th grade Lawrence students from the YMCA. Active Science is an app kids can use that combines math, science, and physical activity. The students had a pedometer on as they did a type of exercise for 30min that I came up with. Once they finished they answered questions about their data on the pedometer. They dealt with graphs, science grammar, and predictions about their physical activity. It took the kids mind off of school work and made it more interesting by using physical activity (games).
