• These were my contributions: 1) Designing, and developing the FishID mobile application, that will serve thousands of users over the state. 2) Updating the previous version of the application (made in the 1990s) to modern mobile application frameworks and coding techniques. • These were my contributions: 1) Designed, developed, and hosted the lab website for the van Pijkeren Lab. 2) Coordinated with the WordPress and WiscWeb hosting teams to ensure the website met the preset requirements and standards. 3) The website and blog aided the lab in landing potential investment opportunities. 4) Conducted interviews to better understand the role and research of lab members, which aided in writing in-depth pieces about the lab, the team, and their work. • Initially began as a Software Developer Intern, and was eventually responsible for solely developing the backend and ensuring the successful production of an MEP PaaS Web Application, aimed at digitizing the process of blueprinting in the construction of apartments, homes, offices, etc. My personal contributions are as follows: 1) Leading a team of developers in the development of an MEP PaaS web application. 2) Solely developed an API using Django's Rest Framework, which had served over 100,000 requests. 3) Responsible for aiding in the planning of development timelines, and their successful implementation. 4) Designed an efficient backend that reduced the number of API calls by over 85%, resulting in a significant increase in load time. 5) Hosted the project on Heroku, whilst tagging the web application to the company's choice of domain. • Freelanced a Web, iOS, and Android Application for Gennext Education. The application is an ecosystem for Students, Counselors, and Universities to engage and connect with each other. Further, it provides a dashboard to each user aiding them in the management of their duties and tracking their progress. It also provides an Admin dashboard that runs analytics and provides the organization with the means to ensure their Client Management and Relationships. My personal contributions were as follows: 1) Developed an API using Django's Rest Framework, that served our Android and iOS mobile applications. 2) Developed a Web Application using the Django Framework, along with the frontend using HTML5, CSS 3, Bootstrap 4, Javascript, and JQuery. 3) Worked as part of a team of 2, responsible for building the Android and iOS applications using Google's Flutter Framework. 4) Built a Web Scraper, that used Selenium and BeautifulSoup, to simultaneously scrape multiple websites, and build a database of over 1000 universities. 5) Utilized Amazon's S3 Buckets, Cloudfront CDN, Aurora, and Elastic Beanstalk to scale the application to a worldwide user base of over 10,000 users. • Selected as part of Cisco's Talent Outreach Program 2019. The program placed us into teams of 5 and assigned us two senior Cisco mentors. The product we decided upon creating was a secure and complete Event Manager that allows schools to list upcoming events and competitions, thus allowing students to register for the events through the platform. The platform was commended by Cisco Leaders from all over the world and earned me recommendations from both my mentors. My personal contributions were as follows: 1) Lead a team of 5 developing an extensive Event Management System that allowed for the efficient handling of events, quick interactions between teachers and students, an admin to oversee and study site analytics, etc. 2) Developed three separate dashboards and attached services for Teachers, Students, and the Admin. The dashboards were tested by over 1000 users and the feedback was strongly positive. 3) Responsible for developing the backend of the application, ensuring effective communication between our team, our mentors, and Cisco leaders, and the hosting and scaling of the project using AWS services. 4) Earned recommendations from both my mentors, and received strong praise for my technical, leadership, public speaking, and presenting abilities.
