Aaron is a highly trustworthy, careful, and detail oriented fine art preparator, with a vast knowledge of various materials and art technique. For a number of of years, he has consistently been our gallery's first choice for the installation of numerous shows, and we have used his services for a number of private clients as well. With Aaron's services, we are secure that the job will be done safely, correctly, and quickly. I would recommend his services for any job or situation which requires handling of fine or decorative art or antiques. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or require further information.

Aaron is one of the most reliable and knowledgeable preparators I've ever worked with. His professionalism combined with his welcoming personality makes him a pleasure to work with. While I was at The Drawing Center, he proved himself to be invaluable time and again. From his work with complex installations to complex curators and couriers, I could always count on Aaron to do whatever was necessary to ensure a flawlessly installed exhibition. I would be happy to give him a personal recommendation via phone. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

In the 24 years that I have been an art handler in the NYC area I have done just about everything. I have installed work in the homes of every top collector and many celebrities in this area such as David Letterman, Steve Martin, The Mugrabis, Richard Gere, Betsy Johnson, and TV Producer Bob Boyett. I transported and installed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution under heavy security and have handled invaluable Van Goghs and Cezannes for Phillips Auction House. I have lectured on shipping and packing techniques at The Drawing Center and The Fashion Institute of Technology. And an installation of ceramic work that I installed at The Minskoff Theater for the Broadway production of the Lion King is visible from the street in Times Square. In terms of skill sets, I am accomplished and experienced in everything from installing massive grids of small paintings to building weird igloos made of fake boobs, to complicated multiple channel video pieces, to moving heavy sculptures, to delicate paper handling, to ancient Japanese Scrolls. I can also build and tear down walls, paint and repair gallery surfaces, stretch canvases, build crates, fix frames, cut mattes and soft pack anything imaginable. I'm really experienced at dealing with the needs of finicky museum curators, nervous commercial art dealers, angsty registrars, detail obsessed conservators and neurotically anal contemporary artists of every ilk working in all media too. I have worked for the Jewish Museum, The Museum of the City of New York, The Studio Museum in Harlem, The National Academy Museum, The Japan Society, The China Institute, The Wallach Gallery at Columbia University, Barbara Gladstone Gallery, Marianne Boesky Gallery, Metro Pictures, Sundaram Tagore Gallery, Michael Rosenfeld Gallery, Silverstein Gallery, Greenberg Van Doren Gallery, Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, The Park Avenue Armory, Dietl, Marlborough Galllery, and Bernarducci/Meisel Gallery.

I have lectured at The Jersey City Museum, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and The Drawing Center. My work has been written about in Art News, The Wall Street Journal, Time Out NY, The San Diego Union Tribune, The Akron Beacon Journal, NYArts Magazine, The New York Sun, and The Columbus Alive. And it has been purchased by The Northern New England Museum of Contemporary Art (NNEMoca) in Burlington, VT, Jean Pigozzi, Steve Shane, Magdalena Sawon and Tamas Banovich of Postmasters Gallery, John Post Lee of Bravin Lee Programs, Amir Fallah of Beautiful Decay Magazine and a host of other private collectors and supportive friends.I have curated or co-curated shows at 450 Broadway Gallery and The Lodge Gallery in New York City. And I have taught drawing, painting, 2D and 3D design in the Visual Communications Department of The Katherine Gibbs School where I was a portfolio advisor, curator of student work for the school’s gallery, and a member of the curriculum development committee.I am formerly a contributing writer for NYArts Magazine, Germany’s Zoo Magazine and the now defunct crowndozen.com. Takashi Murakami, Mike Kelley, DEVO’s Mark Mothersbaugh, and Ian MacKaye of Fugazi are but a few of the artists I have had the privilege of working with in the world of wordcraft. My first book “Grotesque Banalities and Trite Repulsions” is available through Blurb.com.
