Since then, we have been working very hard to drive powerful results. In 2017 we were nominated by Travelers as their agent of the year for the Midwest region which was a tremendous honor.   I had a great career leading the finance team for the Courtesy Dealer Group. I loved the challenges the auto industry threw at me every day.   I opened my scratch agency with no existing book of business right when the recession hit in 2006. I remember sitting in my office where the lease payment was more than my mortgage feeling the stress set in. I picked up the phone and went to work. Our team won the Agent of the Year Award in our first twelve months for Allstate's West Central Region. This was a great honor to be recognized for our top performance out of all 5 states in that region. I grew the book over the next few years into a very stable, well run agency. The quality of my business led to a very positive sale opportunity. The Allstate experience definitely advanced my business and management skills and I am very thankful for those years in insurance.
