  I joined Zopa as part of the loans origination team, the team responsible for applications from quotation to approval. While my role was that of an intern, I quickly added value to my team by being responsible for the development of a greenfield microservice, which included the highly sensitive task of anonymising personal identifiable information using Kotlin, Avro and Kafka Streams technologies. This exposed me to the full lifecycle of developing an application from integration pipelines, through environments and configurations to post-release maintenance in production.   My role under Just Eat was the title of Customer Care Representative.   I have taken part in many different programs, such as Age Action and RehabCare to successfully provide tutoring to the elderly and individuals with disabilities in a friendly and helpful atmosphere. One of my key achievements was establishing a new course that continues to this day, teaching programming to children. While IT Tutor was my official title, I performed many other IT tasks, such as building websites using Wix and WordPress, creating presentations for ICS Classes with PowerPoint and providing technical support when needed. After my time as an employee I volunteered at least twice a week as an IT tutor under Southside Partnerships working in the Rosemount Family Resource Centre. I believe my time as a tutor has taught me much in regard to helping those who may be less computer literate than myself as well as general customer service. Show less
