  At Planet Forward, I serve as the print, video, and audio-story editor for this environmental media nonprofit's web platform. University students from across the country can submit environmental stories to Planet Forward, and I work directly with these students to edit and publish their work.I am the primary lead for the Planet Forward Correspondent program, wherein annual cohorts of 15 selected applicants are challenged to create four stories over the course of the school year. I lead pitching sessions, workshops, and editing sessions with the Correspondents as their mentor, editor, and publisher.I am a lead editor of the Planet Forward website, where I ensure that all posts and pages meet high editorial standards, look visually engaging and aesthetically pleasing, and maintain high Google Search Engine Optimization.   I served as a Teaching Assistant, Lab Instructor, and Lecturer while pursuing my MFA in Documentary Production and Studies at the University of North Texas. For each consecutive semester of this program, I taught undergraduate media technology labs for beginner and intermediate classes. My duties included demonstrating Panasonic Cinema Cameras, leading film-style lighting workshops, teaching basic sound recording, and basic post-production workflow. During my second year at UNT, I was the lecturer for "Intro to Media Writing," a beginner-level class that introduced students to various writing styles and forms including news packages, commercials, documentaries, and screenplays. During my thesis year, I lectured "Film Styles Production," an intermediate-level course in which students are challenged to produce an experimental film, a short documentary, and a short fiction film over the course of one semester. I gave lectures to classes of between eighty and one hundred students on the practices and theories behind these various media forms in addition to grading and structuring the course. Show less
