  I have a broad experience working in pharmaceuticals at Porton Down. My role involves the manufacturing of Erwinase (This is a vaccine which is used to treat childhood leukaemia). I Work in a clean room environment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and working to good manufacturing practice (GMP). I am fully trained in several procedures and perform a wide range of tasks such as sterilising equipment using autoclaves, environmental monitoring of the unit, water sampling and making up specialised equipment. I also make up reagents for GMP use within the Ereinase process. I have Aseptic dispensing qualifications and aseptic gowning qualification’s working in grade A,B,C clean room environments. I am also qualified in reagent makes/filtrations and dispensing of reagents within a grade A laminar flow unit and class three contained isolators. Alongside the production of Erwinase I also manufacture the Anthrax vaccine working in isolators whilst aseptically dispensing, filtering and aspirating product. I can use vaporised hydrogen peroxide (VHP) gassing techniques of isolators using Claris machines on fixed/mobile isolators and depyrogenation ovens.
