I decided to choose the department of state where I worked with various prosecuting attorneys. My duties included: drafting various pleadings, conducting legal research, assisting attorneys prepare for hearings, making phone calls to other agencies, drafting letters, and working on various projects assigned to me. As part of my internship, I had to write an extensive research paper. I wrote my paper on the opioid crisis that is happening here in Pennsylvania. I also presented with a medical expert at the Department of State's annual spring conference on the legal issues surrounding Naloxone (NARCAN).
