Ilion, New York, United States I am incredibly fond of this job because it tested my abilities like no other I have previously worked. Here, a typical 4 hour work day consisted of milking 200 cows, feeding and watering 20 calves, feeding all the cows you just milked, and bedding all the calves down every other day. Along the way, I assisted in putting up miles of electric fencing lines, de-horning calves, chasing loose cattle, castrating bulls, and power washing the milking parlor and barn. I gained incredible patience through working here, as well as a great appreciation for hard work. It taught me countless valuable skills, but most notably time management, multitasking, work ethic, risk assessment, and teamwork. Show less

    • Moving Team Coordinator
      • Sep 2017 - May 2019

Potsdam, New York, United States This was the first job I worked where I was tasked with leading a team. Since I had worked there longer than anyone else my boss had hired at my time of employment, he promoted me to lead most of the moving projects. My job was to, in the timeliest manner possible, move couches/chairs/loveseats/desks/computers/etc. from one part of campus to another having only a laundry cart and one or two other people to help at my disposal. This job tested my ability to problem solve, built time-management… Show more This was the first job I worked where I was tasked with leading a team.
