      GUS provide full in-house services for underground, overhead and everything in-between. Underground Services GUS offers a range of services for underground power, as authorised Western Power cable layers, we are recognised throughout the industry for our fast and efficient work. Overhead Services We specialise in the installation, removal and maintenance of power poles and overhead conductors. From pole inspections, pole, stay and hardware replacements, silicon washing and conductor re-stringing, our specialised teams can be there to build and maintain your overhead power network. We can supply and install all materials required to build a complete new overhead line, and can also carry out an end-to-end demolition and removal service for decommissioned assets. Our crews consist of Cert III Linesmen, Crane Operators and EWP Operators. All of our personnel are Western Power accredited, and undergo regular refresher training in their fields. Our overhead fleet includes late-model crane borer trucks, 14m EWP’s, and a number of hiab cranes, all compliance tested and equipped with the latest safety equipment and technologies. Our trucks are capable of going off-road, which means no pole work is off-limits. End to End Services Other services provided by GUS relate directly to our core work and provide a well rounded and complete service for our clients. Employing 85 full time staff and over 200 plant and equipment items it had depots located at Bunbury, Margaret River and Albany. Originally a family-owned company, in November 2008, Jemena purchased Cape Cable to not only have the capability of providing underground services but also to strategically position itself in the South West of Western Australia.
