I worked as a doctoral student in the Laboratory of Materials Science in the ceramic materials research group. My research focused on the functionalization of galvanized surfaces and developing a new synthesis method for Zinc Oxide nanowires by using supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2). The research is done in co-operation with the company SSAB Europe Oy. Notable achievements in the project: Patent, 3 first-author publications and 8 co-author publications. I have worked in the Department of Material Science of Tampere University of Technology in a research group specialized in ceramic materials during my studies from 2014 when I started as a part-time research assistant. From december 2015 I worked as a full time Master's thesis worker. I have been involved in various projects during my time in TUT. My work consisted of sample preparation, slip casting, colloidal processing, ceramic particle strength testing and use of many characterization and testing methods (Dilatometer, FTIR, DSC, IR-camera etc.). My main area of expertise is supercritical carbon dioxide processing.My Master's thesis focused on the manufacture of aerogels and synthesis of titanium dioxide nanoparticles in supercritical carbon dioxide.
