In an effort to help children during the pandemic, I founded Train2SmileNYC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing children with engaging physical fitness programs in an effort to inspire them towards better mental health and community relationships. We regularly coach younger children in basketball, bodyweight strength training, and guided meditation in order to get them active and enhance their sport-specific skill sets. To date, Train2SmileNYC has raised $29,500 in funds to support the non-profit’s mission and built a network of 265 children. I identified and formed partnerships with like-minded organizations, including Fostering Meditation, Playworks and JCC Basketball. I developed and published a website (www.train2smilenyc.org) to highlight the work of the non-profit. I also developed an iPhone application to provide all youth with simple and accessible fitness regimens. I also completed independent research on the benefits of physical fitness and the correlation between physical and mental health. I formed policy proposals directed towards Manhattan DA, Saturday Night Lights, and NYC Parks and Recreation in order to maximize each entity's impact amongst youth in underprivileged communities. My work has been published by multiple organizations, magazines, and newspapers in the United States, India, and Australia. Show less

During my junior year, contributed to a record-breaking season, earning a home playoff game in the NYSAIS B Division for the first time in school history. During my senior year, I grew into a more impactful role for the team, earning more playing time and leading warmups before games. We won the NYSAIS C division state championship, earning our first basketball banner for Trinity in over 15 years. During my internship at the Manhattan District Attorney, I engaged in workshops within the DA’s office concerning the criminal justice system. I attended lectures with the Manhattan DA, Assistant District Attorneys, Deputy Bureau Chiefs, and more, learning about different departments within the office and being exposed to the real work underlying justice. As a final project, I proposed a policy to further the DA’s mission of building trust between the community and the DA’s office. During my second internship at Tyro, I began with a Data Analytics project, assessing the changes in pricing for a company before and after the pandemic. Upon completing this project, I shifted to a research project on a national retail chain. The project involved using past financial data to predict future sales for the company. I was also tasked with creating a financial model and DCF valuation from scratch. During this first summer of interning at Tyro, I learned how to read corporate financial statements, build financial models, and conduct intrinsic valuations of companies. I completed a research project on Alphabet, utilizing Tyro's research approach to complete a valuation and memo on the company.
