I worked as an intern for Campus B's Fall 2022 Brazil program, where I was put in a group with fellow American students and Brazilian students to help a Brazilian company solve a problem. The company my group worked with was called Abissal, a company that trains other companies to get ESG certifications. The company manager asked us to find out whether or not people cared about ESG certifications (which were certifications that discovered if they met environmental, social, and governance standards). We did this by creating a survey that asked questions about general issues regarding these frameworks (such as global warming, stockholders, workers rights, etc.), and the ESG subject itself, from different certifications to knowledge of these certifications to potential issues. We found from over 1000 respondents that most cared about these subjects (particularly labor issues and global warming), but did not know about ESG certifications, thus Abissal should focus on creating more awareness and trust based on ESGs. We analyzed the specific data that we got and condensed them into graphs via Google Sheets before creating a presentation showcasing the result in a Canva presentation. During the program, I also learned about project management and how to execute it, from learning how to define its scope to different ways of communicating to presenting an engaging story through PowerPoint/Google Slides. I worked as a retail sales associate at Staples. I worked in office supplies, where I helped customers get what they needed by showing them where to go or pointing them in the right direction. I also helped in tech on occasion, helping people find the right ink or other technological needs. I also worked at the register, where I scanned their items and took their payment, as well as offered them protection plans on certain items and asked them to donate school supply boxes for students in need. I also did trucking duties, where I helped restock items onto shelves, and set up stands for promotions (notably Back To School season). Sometimes, I would help a customer consider furniture (chairs and desks in particular, but also printers) and offered them protection plans there. What I did was ask them about their needs and price range, and guided them to chairs based on what they want. I also pushed the Staples Connect App, where I got people to sign up by promising them to get them exclusive deals. I told them based on the amount of items they had and told them to sign up, and helped them through the process if they had questions, such as how to sign up and get their access code and how to make the app load faster. On occasion, I also took passport pictures for people. I take the pictures based on the settings that are set in the camera, then I used a computer program to upload the picture and alter it (brighten it and zoomed into their faces). Show less

I worked at McDonalds, where I prepared food in the kitchen, but particularly excelled in taking orders from customers at the front counter and in the drive-thru. I also prepared orders for the customers in both arenas, and I helped restock the fridge/freezer and storage room when new materials come in.
