As CEO, my passion to invent tech solutions that eliminate headaches, improve customer experience and drive revenue growth is still roaring. Notable innovations include the ZipForms and WinForms online. Millions of transactions flow through those forms every day. NAR and CAR brought a box of 1250 forms and a stack of CD ROMS to the 1parkplace lab for us to invent an encrypted, secure, centrally updated, cloud-based (before the cloud) digital INTERACTIVE form technology to replace printing forms and CD ROMs. The REALTOR.com folks got word and purchased our newly invented transaction platform. Renamed the eREALTOR Plattform and still used today. Even the Zestimate had some early Value Wizard roots passing through the lab. The first ONLINE Real Estate brokerage "ZipRealty" was built in the 1parkplace lab. That project broke the ice as the very first ONLINE MLS platform. This project made a lot of history for being an anchor for what is now IDX. There are hundreds of innovation artifacts in the 1parkplace museum. The company made a shift some time ago from innovating for hire to innovating its own suite of products. Today, as we enter 2023, the company is gearing up to announce its latest, much anticipated and shockingly awesome groundbreaking suite of Digital Marketing and Mega Team automation gear. Soon the real estate universe will meet TheGeine.ai and the Genie Suite. Get ready to make your $Billion dollar production wishes come true. The Genie has already received a US Patent and a few more features have patents pending. MEGA team Leaders turn to 1parkplace, Inc. when they want the ultimate real estate technology to attract listings, improve automation, and increase profit. Which doubles as the exact solution for attracting and developing the best real estate closers. I want Mega Team Leaders looking to experience $billion+ annual production to connect with me.

    • Founder - Interactive Division
      • Aug 1995 - Dec 2002

As an entrepreneur looking for a funding partner to start 1parkplace, I was fortunate to meet FAF Chairman Parker Kennedy (FAF – NYSE), who convinced me to apply my real estate technology ideas to First American Title and its subsidiaries. Starting with founding the Interactive Division to unify all First American Financial companies into one online umbrella system. In 1996 I invented FASTWeb (First American Software Technology on the Web) to be First American’s eCommerce system for customers to order products and services online. This system is still First American’s flagship order system, handling over 1.5 million transactions every year. During my tenure, we developed the very first 3 bureau credit report ordering and receive while you wait system for First American’s CREDCO division. I lead the project team to bring all First American tax roll data and plat maps online for Experian – now held by Core Logic. This represented over 100 million property data records. Between 1996 & 2002 I oversaw the development and execution of over 1000 websites for nearly every First American title division along with First American Home Warranty, First American 1031 Exchange, First American Tax Service, First American Canada, First American UK, First American Australia and web services and system development for countless other FAF subsidiaries. In January 2003 - I handed the keys to all systems to a new team at First American so I could focus 100% of my time to 1parkplace, Inc.

    • Inventor of eRealtor platform
      • Jan 2001 - Aug 2002

I originally developed 1parkplace Version 1 as a transaction platform and when brining the product to market, it caught the eye of the folks at REALTOR.com who were seeking to add a transaction platform to their popular REALTOR.com real estate listing portal. During this period I sold an intellectual property license to REALTOR.com who later renamed the product eRealtor platform. I lead the team to integrate the eREALTOR platform into the popular REALTOR.com system. The product still exists today and has been purchased by the California Association of REALTORS – REBS division. The product has gone through updating and currently operates under the name of RELAY, the official transaction platform of the California Association of REALTORS.

Numerous presentations and seminars to educate students on learning the opportunities of merging Silicon Valley with Hollywood. The blend of technology with Film was a great avenue for students who were having trouble finding work in a film studio or tried the studio route and didn't like it. This gave them expanded options and ideas on finding a career that matches their skill and passion. At the time - the LA locals called it "SillyWood". I taught how skills are portable to the business world so a student who has film skills can find career opportunities at corporations who need to leverage the "new media" in marketing, training and sales efforts.

In 1992 - Pioneered my class titled: "InterActive Your Career" - this class had trouble passing the Western association of accreditation board since I invented a new word "InterActivate". But ultimately, with the UCLA dean's assistance, was accepted. The class was designed to teach students who were passionate about a career path or industry on how to select the correct academic curriculum topics and then map out steps to position themselves for a career at a company of their choosing. Curriculum included; researching the target organizations, developing compelling presentations using multimedia for their interview in order to WOW the company and differentiate our students from the rest, with the higher likelihood of being selected for the position.

Started a real estate career during the off season of racing and really enjoyed it. Beginning in my home turf of San Francisco, my first listing and sale was in the Sunset District. I eventually moved to Silicon Valley to focus on becoming the top listing agent in the exclusive Saratoga and Los Gatos areas of the San Francisco Bay Area. Looking back, this was before the Internet and during the time the MLS was delivered in books. During my tenure, the MLS improved to a curly fax paper machine with a phone that was Velcro'd into the device. I had an engineer (my dad) develop a CRM system for me in COBAL using a "mini PC". This is BEFORE windows and before the "micro PC" we know today. I know I'm dating myself with this career entry :-)

    • Developer of original ZIP Realty system
      • Feb 1978 - Dec 1987

When Zip Realty founders Scott Kucirek and Juan Mini won the business plan contest at U.C. Berkley's HAAS School of Business for their new Online Brokerage business, their professor sent them to me to get their new idea turned into reality. I lead the team to create Zip Realty's first 3 versions. Zip Realty represented the first full service online brokerage operation in the United States. The key to the system was based on integrating and unifying an unlimited number of Multiple Listing Service feeds into a highly secure VOW (Virtual Office Website) system. This was several years before the MLS's allowed their data to be presented via the Internet. The product provided a full 360 degree management of the real estate business. From securing clients, providing engaging home search to managing transactions through the closing. My responsibility was to get the first 3 versions of the system developed - each version was designed to seek increased funding from venture partners. Zip Realty successfully secured approx $10 million on it's third version and I helped Zip recruit and train an in house development team to continue development and maintain the system.
