- Applying for approvals and No Objection Certificates from local agencies to executes some specific work activities related to health, safety and environment legal requirements. - Monitoring and recording Lost Time Injuries (LTI), accidents, incidents, and near misses in other to prevent occurrence. - Carrying out incident investigation and prepare a suitable control - Using ERP to manage day-to-day work activities such as project management, risk management and compliance. - Ensuring high risk activities have appropriate paperwork and necessary permits before starting the work. - Preparing task risk assessment on monthly basis and when high risk work is required. - Provision of safety awareness posters and lectures for workers. - Pre-planning programme for workers ahead an activity to prevent unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. - Updating of certification and arranging retraining programme for specific site employees such as riggers, first aiders and heavy machine operators. - Conducting safety induction for new workers and subcontractors on safety procedures on site. - Participating and contributing in weekly site meeting regarding health and safety of the workers and workplace. - Reviewing and documenting the safe system of operating new machinery and equipment to make sure that they meet safety requirements and prevent foreseeable incidents. - Responsible for Identifying and mitigating potential hazards and risks by inspecting facilities, machinery, safety equipment. - Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the present controls at workplace and allow continual improvement. - Providing adequate training for workers on handling of tools and its hazards. - Communicating necessary control and procedure to all site foreman in other to ensure designated workers are working safely. - Consistent reviewing employee safety programs and recommend improvements.
