Our team was in charge of creating the system to manage requests sent to the government about the use of conservation managed lands and resources. Requests were received and we had to capture, categorize, and process them through a system of consultation meetings and response centers within a legislated time-frame. The role also consisted of managing the database of existing and new projects, reporting on the ongoing status of projects, reporting on the overall system performance, and making changes to the system as needed to streamline the process. My most used skills in this role were Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, professional communication, and my understanding of process efficiency, which normally would relate to an industrial production line but ultimately became relevant as I worked to optimize the flow of applications through our system. This was a temporary contract position that started out as a 2 month contract then was extended to another 2 months. Show less
