  First job out of college, started out as a Roadway Design Engineer and after two years became the Assistant Regional Design Engineer. I designed multi-laned highways, industrial access roads, bridge replacements and freeways. After five years in design, decided to take a position in a Construction office where I gained valuable experience all design engineers should have early in their career. Managed construction for the widening of I-40/75 in Knox County, Pillissippi Parkway Bridge over the Tennessee River, reconstruction of the Henley Street Bridge in Knoxville and numerous State Route improvements.
