Ralph is an amazing asset to any team. He has creative ideas, gives 110% and is a warm approachable staff member willing to help our participants anyway he can. Just this summer, he was an honored guest at our annual Upward Bound Math and Science closing ceremony where his previous students expressed extreme gratitude for all he has done for them.

Susan Williams

Ralph's work as a student and as a research assistant was always stellar. He is bright, articulate, and highly motivated. He has the spark of creative inquiry that produces original and smart results. I would give him my highest recommendation.

I am responsible for leading the grants development process for state, federal, and foundation grants to support strategic initatives at Mount Wachusett Community College. I work with project directors to develop logic models and budgets, establish measurable outcomes, and craft a convincing narrative based on funder requirements and expectations. As of writing, I secured over $1.8 million in funding for a variety of education, work force and basic needs projects. In addition, I help college leaders generate innovative projects in the form of concept papers. For concept papers, I support data collection and analysis, budget development, sustainability planning, and concept presentation to the college's Leadership Team. Show less

    • Director, Upward Bound Math & Science and North Central MA Talent Search
      • May 2019 - Aug 2022

As the director for two federally-funded TRIO projects, I coordinated staff, project activities, and stakeholder engagement across seven schools in five districts. I developed curriculum resources and guides to ensure all project participants received quality instruction on college and career readiness. I provided guidance and support to school-based staff in advising students, delivering curriculum, and coordinating field trips. In 2020-2022, I led a project redesign for both Talent Search and Upward Bound Math & Science. These project redesigned included completing a SWOT analysis, analyzing project outcomes, and identifying best practices for project implementation. In addition, the development of Summer Academy Handbook and written policy on data entry requirements were established to create clear guidelines for students and staff. As a result of these redesign efforts, both projects received continuation funding for a five-year cycle. Show less
