• Worked in the field of Nonlinear Optics, in particular, Time-resolved Transmission studies of nanocomposites using pump-probe setup. • Worked with ultrafast lasers including femtosecond lasers and got exposed to NLO studies of light and matter interactions. • Designed pump-probe experiment on “Time-resolved relaxation dynamics of non-linear response of nanocomposites” which involved studying the kinetic behaviour of silver nanocomposite system, like energy relaxation, energy transfer processes due to surface Plasmon resonance. Inculcation of such particles has promising applications in the field of photovoltaics like solar cells. • Got familiarised with different lasers like, He-Ne laser, Q-Switched nanosecond Nd:YAG laser, Spectra Physics femtosecond laser etc. and other experimental methods adopted in ultrafast optics labs. • Worked on nonlinear transmission studies of various materials by an automated z-scan setup using an Nd:YAG lasers (Continuum, Minilite) with a computer controlled interface. • Got exposed to plasma generation in liquid jets and x-ray detection from the same using Femtosecond Lasers (Tsunami-Spectra Physics) with chirped pulse amplifier (TSA10-Spectra Physics) and Si-PIN x-ray detector (XR100CR-Amptek).
