John is finishing up a very successful summer internship as part of my team at WD. In his time with us, John became a key member of our division's advanced development team, doing proof of concept work to help define new product features and process optimizations that will benefit the ActiveScale product line. John's education and prior work experienced enabled him to make an enduring contribution to our group and to our division. On a personal note - John is a really nice guy and very approachable, he has excellent communication skills and is a fantastic team player. John asks for help when he needs it, but frankly that isn't very often. So I also need to also emphasize that John did an excellent job educating our engineering team about the various machine learning models he was using and how they met the needs of our future technology roadmap! I would be delighted to work with John again, and I highly recommend him to any organization looking for rockstar level expertise in Python and Machine Learning techniques.

Dreams for Schools oversees programs and initiatives that contribute to educating youth about Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) fields. The main outreach program of the organization is the AppJam+ initiative. AppJam+ is a program that takes the concept of building software in a short period of time and uses it as a tool to excite and inform middle school students about STEM fields while teaching them the creative and hands-on technical process of mobile application development. Middle school students receive mentorship from college undergraduates and learn to make mobile apps, which will be utilized by early learners. Show less
