As a leader, Lanita has the powerful characteristic at her core, of building community and interactions with different lines of business, different organizational peers, as well as vendors and other third parties. By doing this, projects receive the right level of buy-in so that they are what is best for the organization as well as, have high levels of adoption, maximizing her organization's budget. Lanita also has the innate ability to take large, complex, time-sensitive, and demanding projects that include a plethora of stakeholders and variables, and digest those components in order to find the most effective ways to work with different people and groups. This empowers each person to deliver their maximum potential while making the business much better off. As a vendor, it has been a pleasure for me to be held up to the high standards that Lanita holds those who partner with her. She expects a lot from us but, makes it clear how and where we can benefit her organization and truly partner. This ensures that we bring the best that we have when working with her and her team knowing that there are high levels of accountability and trust that must be earned. All of that aside, Lanita is simply a great human who works really hard and intelligently to make her organization and the people around her, better.

Unsolicited Recommendation - Lanita has extraordinarily strong communication skills, the best I saw in 40-years of IT work. Her personal and work ethics are above reproach. Her ability to correlate business needs with a broad set of technology, and then explain the relationships, risks, costs and rewards is stunning. I would not hesitate in recommending her for any IT leadership position.
